Getting involved

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

There are a host of ways that Christians, Churches and Christian groups can get involved to influence decisions and work with others to change the world we live in.  We will be bringing some of these to your attention in these pages ... do you know of something that should be included here? Then please let us know.

Rhubarb Farm

A new environmental social enterprise establishing in Langwith village on the Notts/Derbs border.  It will be providing work, placements and volunteering opportunities to people who are unemployed, ex-offenders, ex-soldiers with PTSD, have mental ill health, physical health problems, learning disabilities or are the well who want to stay well.  This will be done through the growing of fresh vegetables and fruit on an 8-acre site.  Aiming to be operational in the Autumn, Rhubarb Farm is looking for the following items to scrounge, to help make the funds go further:   garden spades and forks especially the smaller ones known as 'border' forks;  wellies (all sizes), watering cans, water butts (large).   If you have any of these items, or even other things you think may be useful for growing and sowing, please email Jennie Street - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
