Partnerships

One of the key aspects of our work is to develop partnerships beyond church circles.  This works in two directions, bringing resources and insights into the church and helping us to engage with issues that our community faces and giving us the potential for a prophetic voice.
This two way dynamic as an essential element of community focused mission and is evident in Jesus’ own ministry as he blessed and multiplied gifts that were offered, he received from and was challenged by people outside his own ethnic and religious communities.  (For example see John 6:1-15, John 4:1-10 and Matthew 15:21-28.  See more in Faith in Action chapter 2).
There are five general areas that we are currently engaging with:

• Derby City
• Derbyshire
• Derbyshire Districts
• The East Midlands Region
• The Third Sector

This will only be a glimpse at the engagement of immensely valuable engagement of churches across Derbyshire.  If there is work that you are aware of which could be highlighted on these pages please let us know.
